Job Description
This position is responsible for providing product support, managing product compliance, and developing product literature.
Athea Laboratories is a manufacturer of wet wipes and chemicals used in industrial, institutional, and retail market places.

Responsibilities
• Providing product support & recommendations to customers on a wide range of specialty chemical products
• Development and review of product sales/technical literature
• Managing product regulatory compliance (e.g. VOC, CA Proposition 65, etc.)
• Creation of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and labels for compliance with GHS using third party authoring software
• Review of product labeling for compliance with applicable regulations
• Proactively monitoring legislation and product stewardship issues that could potentially affect our product offering and make recommendations to mitigate these issues
• On-site and off-site training for customers and company representatives on products and regulatory issues
• Assisting with the management of state and federal FIFRA registration process
• Managing the creation and the ongoing maintenance of private label SDS.
• Proofing documents including SDS, technical data sheets, product labels, and internal correspondence
• Creating new and improving procedures within the department and company-wide
Qualifications
• Excellent written and oral (face-to-face/phone) communication skills
• Peerless attention to detail
• Exceptional ability at managing workload priorities
• Strong PC skills utilizing word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software in a Microsoft environment; pdf editing within Adobe/Nitro
• Excel at working within a team environment.
Education and/or Experience
BS in chemistry, environmental sciences or related field is required. A background in the chemical industry, proficient in Spanish speaking/writing and experience working with lean principles are a plus. Professional certification is also beneficial.
